*spoiler alert
In the future they lived happily ever after. But, how did they get there? Follow our favorite gang and other characters we met throughout the novels in Stars Above to read from their perspectives before, during, and after the events of The Lunar Chronicles.
These novellas were very tastefully done. Sometimes there are additions to the series at the end where it feels like it is just a money grabber because the information isn’t worth it and the writing isn’t as well done as the previous works in the series but, I feel that these stories really added to the series and gave us more insight to our characters and their backgrounds.
My favorite of the novellas was actually the first one which is told by Michelle Benoits POV when Cinder/Princess Selene was first brought to Earth in an effort to save her life and follows her through the time that she is rehabilitated and made into part cyborg.
As someone who was not the biggest fan of Scarlet throughout the series, I really enjoyed the character of her grandmother and wished that we would have had been introduced to her POV in the second book, if only for a few scenes.
Of course, there is a lot of focus from the fans on the novella Something Old, Something New, which is the last novella of Stars Above. I think anyone who is a fan of The Lunar Chronicles could be pleased with that one no matter how terribly cliche it is.
If you have read The Lunar Chronicles you should not miss out on Stars Above!
4/5 stars!
